Only want to work eight hours

This Article is for letter-carriers who "Do Not" wish to work overtime. With management's use of DOIS and COR software and not putting in the proper data, one would assume that Article 8 is being violated in a lot of offices on a daily basis.
In order to WIN any grievance pretaining to NON-ODL carriers working off his/her route on a regular scheduled day or on his/her ns-day. All Carriers MUST fill out PS 3996 when needed.
Upon final receipt of all mail. When working overtime on your route or working off your route you MUST fill out PS 3996. With Station; Route # ; Full Date; Start Address; End Adress; MSP Scans; Any Accountables; and most important of all print and sign your name and route # for the assignment you completed. Make (3) copies (1) supervisor; (1) for your records; and (1) for carriers route you worked .
Because their are a couple of sick calls nor a "window of operation" of 5PM. may not violate Article 8.
Stewards "Remedy" should get a little more creative with each violation. We all know most supervisors do not care about paying any monetry settlements; so up the ante each time.
In conclussion , stewards must be persistant and patient and if need be, file a grievance everyday until issue is addressed. Unfortunately results do not come over night but, In the end you will PREVAIL !!
